La Fonte is a small and ancient stone farmstead, located on a slope of the hill of the Medieval castle of the Municipality of Radicondoli, with views of Volterra, San Gimignano, and other castles and centers on the surrounding hills.
Woods, pastures, vines, olive trees, and fruit trees surround the farmstead, which dominates the magnificent Cecina river valley.
Already in the 1980s, when agritourism was not yet known, we had requests for countryside vacations. We continue to carefully manage the restoration and maintenance of the entire stone and brick building that is the heart of the farmstead.
The agriculture practiced at "Podere la Fonte" is organic, with the production of organic wine and olive oil, cereals, fruit and vegetables, and medicinal plants. Some of the products are processed in the farm's food laboratory. The productions are certified by ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification).
The agricultural activity at La Fonte is mainly aimed at producing products for the self-sufficiency of the farmstead and the house.
